Light chimes

Light Chimes is an interactive art installation built with classmates Jason Chua and Kiran Malladi. It is a 13x13 grid of "chimes" with embedded LEDs that light up when you run your hand through them. Activated by reed switches, the lights flicker as they swing in and out of magnetic fields. No microcontrollers!

This college side project was funded by an ASSU Arts Grant, the piece was exhibited twice at Cantor Arts Center in 2010, and at Maker Faire SF 2011.
